SUMMER 2010

JULY 29th Report

The blues continue to play hard to get with the spawn, however we see signs of the bite improving over the last few days with some blues getting more aggressive and taking jigs while chasing bait along the beach. The full moon is behind us and that usually means that the bite will get better and then back to the normal late summer bite!! Could happen any day!

We had a good bite for a while the other night with BIG blues taking bait to the north but the bite was short lived. It looks like things might get started any time.

We are taking reservations for our Canyon Tuna Trips and Inshore Bluefin & Bonita Trips, spots are going fast!

July 23rd 2010

[B]The blues bite was pretty good today with 3-5 lb snapper blues taking jigs most of day! A nice 32inch striper was boated in the mix!

The fish of the day was an 82lb black drum caught by Thomas Pucci of Elmwood Park NJ. Thomas took the day off from his Masonry Company, TRP Masonry for a nice day on the water and was pleasantly suprised as were we all with the 82lb drum that took a jig while beating on a nice shot of blues.

We sail every day 7:30AM - 2:30PM for Blues & Bass, Night Blues every night 7:30PM to 2:30AM!

Canyon Tuna and Inshore Tuna Bonita Schedule is up on our website www.goldeneaglefishing.com! Reserve your spots now.

Hope to see you aboard

July 19th

Looks like the spawn is upon us, with a picky bluefish bite! Both day and night trips have experienced some slow fishing mixed with some fast action. A good body of fish has moved into the normal summer grounds and should start to bite better as the spawn comes to an end. That can be anytime so dont miss out on a good bite.

Day trips are still producing large blues on jigs and bait with night trips catching on mostly bait. Capt Ryan Namowitz has made some stops on wrecks when the blues bite has been slow and put a beating on the Sea Bass, Keeper Cod, and a few really nice fluke to make the day.

OFFSHORE AND INSHORE TUNA SCHEDULE IS UP! SOME GOOD FALL FISHING AHEAD!

JULY 12th

With the exception of a few really pick days this week the Blues fishing has been good especially on the night trips. BIG blues have been taking bait and jigs at night with some frenzied hours of big blue action. Day trips although picky a few times produced good catches of the big choppers on jigs with some bait fishing! Come on out and get in on the fun!.

July 8th 2010

The Bluefishing has been excellent with the exception of a few trips where the fish got a bit picky. We have had to travel some to get into them, but once we are on the grounds, the fish have bit well.

Day trips are producing 8-12 pound choppers on jigs and bait. Night blues trips have been taking large blues on bait for the most part. We have been traveling well South and East if the inlet to get on them.

We will be changing our fall fishing schedule by eliminating some of the Canyon Tuna Trips this year and running special Bonita & Bluefin trips to the Mud hole and other locations. Some Deep wreck Cod trips are in the plans as well! Watch for the new schedule!

June 30th

There has been some excellent Bluefishing on both day and night blues trips!
Blues to 12 lbs or so are being taken on both jigs and bait during the day and action has been almost non-stop on bait at night!
Get in on some of this action!
There are still spots left for the July 3rd Fireworks Cruise to Red Bank and the July 4th Macy's Fireworks Cruise. Take the family for a special night out and see the fireworks from the best seats in the house!
Watch for our Tuna Schedule later this week!
